The day has come. The deadline for the critique group contest is here. Technically, you’re supposed to have your entry in by noon CST today, but ‘tis the season, so I’ll extend it to midnight.
Why should you enter a contest to find a critique group? Because this method works. I’ve run a few contests in the past and have had amazing critique partners. For various reasons (life, deadlines, and career changes), over the years, we’ve parted ways. But, we were very compatible when we were together. Why was that? Because we took the time to get to know each other’s strengths and weaknesses before we became a group. We exchanged writing samples and critiques to ensure we could help each other. We knew we’d be a good fit.
And that’s what Pamela and I are looking for. A good fit.
If you missed the original post, go here for details about our contest and us.
I’ve contacted everyone who has entered the contest so far and confirmed receipt of his/her entry. If you haven’t heard from me, I haven’t received your entry. Please ensure you sent it to the correct address: lynnette_labelle (at) hotmail (dot) com.
This is my last post for the year. I’ll be back January 6, 2015.
Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and have a super new year! See you in 2015!
